Paper Works, Harbourfront, Toronto, 1976 ©

These pieces were made during my two year tenure at the Canadian Federal government’s initiative to revitalise the derelict Toronto lakefront district called Harbourfront. Several art and craft disciplines were given the opportunity to establish and run their studios and workshops to display, enrich and share the diverse cultural traditions of the people of Toronto. In return the corporation that was established to run the project provided funds for maintenance, utilities and administration as well as the purchase of kilns, assortment of equipment, furniture and income for the individual artist and craftsmen that worked there.
